So you’ve done your homework how to attract guys and now you have set your eyes on a guy that you really like. The next issue that you need to tackle is how to actually get his attention.

Many women tend to make the same mistakes over and over again. These include saying things that make them look really needy and desperate. The bigger problem is they don’t even know about it. But you don’t have to go through the same cycle. Below are qualities that you need in order to attract men.

Confidence Is Vital for Success

First things first, if you’re thinking about how you’re not tall enough, beautiful enough or skinny enough, stop it. Stop thinking about those things because real attraction has very little to do with outward physical appearance. Besides, there’s really very little you can change when it comes to how you look physically. I mean, you can’t possibly grow a few inches within a day.

So, the key to being successful at capturing a man ’s attention is confidence. You need to be able to carry yourself on your own.

Just how exactly does one gain confidence, you ask? Well, first of all, you have to learn to be proud of yourself. Learn to love yourself and as already mentioned, stop focusing on the negative aspects of yourself or your life.

You may not be able to gain a few inches more of your height within a day but you can however, still make yourself look presentable. By that, I mean, when you go for a night out, wear the dress that you feel comfortable in. If your friends suggest that you wear a certain type of dress but you’re sure that it’s just not your thing, then don’t go and wear that.

Be sure to have time to prepare yourself. A great way to be prepared is to know where you’re going so you can dress up accordingly. Do not underestimate the power of your dress. Confidence increases when you are comfortable with how you look. Once you’ve checked yourself out in the mirror and everything’s in place i.e. your make up’s just right, there’s no lip gloss on your teeth, etc., then you’re all set for the night.

Enjoy and Be Approachable

When you are all set to go and hit the town, keep in mind that the most important thing is that you have fun. Go out with girlfriends who are fun to be wit h. Men are attracted to women who clearly show that they’re enjoying themselves.

Another quality that will increase your attractiveness in the eyes of men is how approachable you are. When men approach you, do not push them away instantly. At least hear out what they have to say. If, in the end, you find him boring and just not your type then you can politely excuse yourself from the conversation. The importance of this is that you give out the impression that you are not bitchy and cold. Men like women whom they can walk over to and have a conversation without getting turned down instantly.

Sending Signals

Sending signals is a very important factor to showing a man you are interested in him. The goal is to be subtle enough so as not to look desperate, but not so subtle that he doesn’t understand your interest.

The best kind of signal to send is with your eyes; your eyes are the window to your soul and can be more telling than words. Start with giving him extended eye contact. Do this when you catch his stare and hold it for a few seconds. He will know you have some interest in him.

You can flutter your eyelashes a few times, but don’t go crazy you don’t want him to think you have something in your contact lenses or a nervous twitch. Give a little smile. If he looks away and back again you know you have his attention.

Keep your arms unfolded; folded arms indicate you are not open or interested. A little play with your hair can also be a flirty way of getting male attention.

Once you have entered into the conversation there are several signals you can send without saying a word. A light touch on his side when he says something funny tells him you want to be closer; a touch on his hand tells him you really want to get to know him better.

When in a busy place you can brush past him when leaving which will give him a lasting impression. Don’t be afraid to smile when he talks to you, this will show him you are interested and enjoy his company.

You Can Get Him At “Hello”

However, if you have your eye on a man but he hasn’t approached you yet, a simple “Hello” is a great way to start a conversation with him. If he doesn’t reply to you then it may indicate that he’s not interested so you can move on and entertain other guys instead.

However, if the guy does respond to you keep the conversation going. You can start with small talk. A little flirting doesn’t hurt either. It will send a signal that you are interested in him. But remember that it’s light, fun flirting. Don’t overdo it. That takes me to my next point.

When you first meet a man, don’t come off too strong on him. You might come off as clingy and men don’t like women who are clingy. It will send him the wrong signals. Men don’t like to be pressured to be in a relationship. Making him feel so will definitely cause him to run as far from you as possible.

Instead, just relax and enjoy whatever conversation you’re having. Make sure you’re making eye contact on the conversation as well. This indicates that you are interested in what he has to say.

Don’t Drink Too Much

As a woman, you must always be able to keep your composure in public places especially in bars where a lot of drinking is happening and there is a big male presence. Do not drink too much. Men aren’t particularly attracted to women who are too drunk to even stand up on their own. Remember that you must look presentable and be able to handle yourself if you are ever to be successful in attracting men.

Offer Your Number

When you are saying goodbye to the guy you met if he doesn’t ask for your number it is ok to offer it. Men get a little nervous too and when jotting down your number add your email address. If he is a shy guy he may feel more comfortable shooting you a couple of emails before he plucks up the courage to ask you out on a date.

Don’t Pressure Yourself

If at the end of the night, you still haven’t gotten yourself a date or a man, don’t worry too much about it. Remember, there are still many nights ahead and more men in the world.

Again, stop pressuring yourself because, in the end, that will only cause you to make bad decisions which you will most likely regret in the future.

Basically, in order to come off as someone who’s confident and attractive to men, you must first learn to embrace and be proud of who you are. To not come off as needy, desperate and clingy, learn to not jump on every opportunity that offers itself to you. Learn to use your judgment when it comes to men. If you don’t like being in the company of one, move on.
